I make them! All of the springs are bent on a custom designed jig built specially for the purpose. They are EACH tested for fit and function on an UppaBaby Vista brake pedal.

Yes! I have fixed a number of Vista V2 brakes where the torsion spring was intact but either twisted or not moving anymore (I have a video that shows this). Replacement of the faulty spring with the spring from my kit successfully fixed the brake. Before ordering a kit you could try reinstalling the faulty spring following the instructions in my video, and I would recommend a good dose of lubricant as well (I use a white lithium grease spray).

I use a number of different products for lubricating brakes and brake lines. However, if I were to choose just one I would recommend a good dose of white lithium grease spray (not WD-40). This should be readily available at your local hardware store and it is inexpensive. Apply the spray generously before reinstalling the brake pedal. It does a good job of lubricating the moving metal and plastic parts and penetrates into the nooks and crannies of the brake mechanism. It will also stay on.
